Hello guys :) Today Mr Julian say
-Go youtube listen to your instruments solo. But please listen to 100000 view and not just 3 view.
-And there's a audition on the last day of our music camp. Mr Julian also had said that cannot count, cannot read note and more than a certain numbers never pass the audition the whole band will withdraw from NBC.

For the junior band work hard and practice your parts for the farewell party, practice and memories your scale as you all will be joining the main band soon. Last but not least main band we still left 13 more practices!

Hello guys :) Plaese practice 'Under the flag of glory' the beginning until A, which is the choral part. And for Legend of the lunar valentine practice from G until the end. By next wednesday we all must know how to play the parts which i mention up there. And i know our common test is coming soon but please bring home your instrument as you know we only have 2 months to prepare for our competition. Good job band today we have played well from beginning until G :) Keep it up :)As you know today the Sec 4s and 5s had already step down. And now the new NCOs step up. Like Ms Yani have said please respect the NCOs who had step up.

Jurong Symphonic Band also known as JSB.
Established since 1976 as a Military Band,
2002 status was changed to School Band.

One of the school's performing arts CCA,
the symphonic band is known to be
a music-making group
that is always eager to explore new
or creative ways of music-making.

JSB is working hard for
the bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival Central
Judging of Concert Bands and
school functions like the Annual Speech
,Prize Presentation Day and National Day Parade.

The band had numerous opportunities
to work with other school bands,
musical ensembles and other institutions.

However, in 2007,
the band received a Bronze award for
the Singapore Youth Festival Band Competition.
Also invited friends and families for a morning concert
to start their days and had a performance at
West Point Hospital’s opening ceremony.

Last year, the band participated in a Musical Performance
at Nanyang Girls High School to celebrate the school’s
45th Anniversary.

Under the baton of Mr Julian Low, Jurong Symphonic Band believes
that they can achieve greater heights with much passion for
music and confidence to succeed.

Mr. Julian Low

Julian Low is a third year tuba student in the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music,
pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree.
He is currently studying under Brett Stemple,
principal tuba of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

In 2006, Julian successfully auditioned for a place
as full time musician in the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band
and was promoted to Principal Tuba in 2008.
He was featured with the band in various concerts,
international military music festivals,
brass quintet and tuba quartet performances

Mr. Julian Low started playing the tuba at the age of 13
and studied under Francis Tan and Hidehiro Fujita
(Singapore Symphony Orchestra).
He also took up leadership positions in his schools
including the Drum-Major of Springfield Secondary School Military Band,
Vice-President of Tampines Junior College Concert Band
and President of Tampines Junior College Alumni Band.
Upon completing his studies,
Mr. Julian Low hopes to be a professional orchestral musician.

Mr. Erik Tan

Erik Tan is a third year trumpet student at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music,
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music(Trumpet Performance).
Studies National University of Singapore

Currently working at Singapore Armed Forces Central Bands
This is Erik third-year in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music,
it is coming to an end of his third year.It is coming to 4th year and it is the final year.
Erik was in the army band from 2007-2009.
Erik was holding the rank of corporal currently.
Mr Erik has perform in various concerts,
he went to Quebec, Canada for music exchange and performed with the SAF Central Band in the concert.
where The US "President's Own" Marine Band came to singapore.
Mr Erik started playing trumpet when he was 10 years old.
he had learnt more when he was in secondary school and he was learning under Miss Dorean Tan and Mr Er Wee San.
Mr Erik also have been selected to perform with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
His dream is to become an professional orchestral trumpet player.
